Embracing Innovation: Teaching with Smart Boards and AI

At Govt. GHSS Peroorkada, three classrooms were recently upgraded with smart boards to enhance the learning experience, originally intended for the newly admitted 11th-grade students. However, since their classes haven’t commenced yet, one of these high-tech rooms was temporarily assigned to my class, 9C. I was thrilled to have this opportunity and made full use of the smart boards and AI technology to enrich my teaching.

Today, I introduced my students to Salvador Dalí's iconic painting, The Persistence of Memory. Through this lesson, I aimed to teach them about the impermanence of time and the non-linear aspects of time and life. The experience was incredibly rewarding, and the positive feedback from my students made it even more fulfilling. It’s amazing how technology can bring art and complex concepts to life in the classroom, making learning both engaging and impactful.

Embracing the Future: Integrating AI into the Classroom

Integrating AI into education is becoming a game-changer, and I recently had the opportunity to dive into this trend by attending an AI workshop. I learned about several tools that I couldn't wait to bring into my classroom. Today, during a substitution period, I decided to try out ARLOOPA on the smart board. The reaction from my students was beyond anything I expected—they were absolutely thrilled! It was a perfect example of how AI and augmented reality can transform learning experiences, making them more engaging and interactive.

To add to the fun, I played the song "Let It Go" from *Frozen*, which is one of my all-time favorites. The students loved it, and it brought a light-hearted and joyful energy to the day. It was one of those different, fun days that remind me why I love being a teacher. Watching my students’ excitement and curiosity unfold as they experienced these new tools made the day truly special.

 

FIRST DAY

Chasing Dreams: The First Day of My Second Teaching Internship

Today marked the beginning of the second phase of my teaching practice, and I was filled with so much happiness and excitement! There's something incredibly fulfilling about stepping into the classroom, ready to teach, explore, and be with my students. This journey is not just about imparting knowledge but also about learning and unlearning, growing alongside my kids, and embracing every moment.

To make this day even more special, I decided to wear my mom's saree—a beautiful piece that’s 28 years old. I absolutely love the color, and wearing it felt like carrying a piece of my mom's love and legacy with me. Before I headed out, my mom captured the first picture of the day. Though it turned out a bit blurry, it’s a moment I’ll cherish forever. With her love and support, I’m off to chase my dreams, eager to see where this journey takes me.
