COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP - DAY 5

The final day of our camp began with the familiar routine of yoga and assembly, commencing at 6:00 am. These sessions provided us with a serene start to the day, allowing us to gather our thoughts and prepare for the day's activities.

Following the assembly, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast at 8:00 am, fueling ourselves for the exciting day ahead. At 10:00 am, we embarked on a visit to an agriculture farm at Parottukonam as part of the program called PRITHVI. Here, we were greeted by vast green paddy fields, and the farmers generously shared their knowledge of agricultural practices with us. We learned about various cultivation techniques and gained insights into the challenges and rewards of farming.

Additionally, we visited a nearby soil museum, where we learned about the history and significance of soil conservation. It was an enlightening experience that deepened our appreciation for the importance of sustainable agricultural practices.

By 12:30 pm, we returned to our campus and gathered for a satisfying lunch, reminiscing about the enriching experiences of the camp.

In the afternoon, at 3:00 pm, we ventured to Veli via Mar Baselios bus, where we spent the afternoon enjoying the sea view and flying kites. It was a relaxing and enjoyable way to soak in the natural beauty of the surroundings and unwind after a busy week.

By 6:00 pm, we returned to the college campus and commenced the valedictory function, marking the official end of the camp. Representatives of the student community, Arya and Neeraj, shared their reflections on the entire camp journey, encapsulating the memories and lessons learned throughout the week.

Following the valedictory function, we gathered for a final dinner together, savoring the last moments of camaraderie and fellowship. With the conclusion of dinner, the camp officially came to an end.

The next day, by 8:00 pm, we packed our bags and bid farewell to our campmates, departing for our respective homes. The camp had been a truly memorable experience, filled with learning, adventure, and meaningful connections, leaving us with cherished memories to carry forward into the future.
