COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP - DAY 4

The fourth day of our camp began with our regular routine of yoga at 6:00 am, followed by the assembly at 7:00 am, where we shared thoughts for the day and received updates. After the assembly, we enjoyed a wholesome breakfast at 8:00 am, gearing up for another eventful day.

At 10:00 am, we embarked on a visit to the Jayamatha Centre for Marginalized Students, where we participated in a program called VIGNJAN. During this program, some students provided basic education in subjects like math, English, and science to the marginalized students. Additionally, we did a wall painting in front of the center, themed around "Save Nature," highlighting the importance of environmental conservation.

By 12:30 pm, we returned from the Jayamatha Centre and gathered for a satisfying lunch, replenishing our energy for the afternoon activities.

At 3:00 pm, we had an empowering self-defense class called Karuthu, facilitated by three women trainers from the Kerala Self Defense Academy. The class focused on equipping participants with practical self-defense techniques to reduce atrocities against women. Clear-cut demonstrations were the key feature of the class, empowering participants with essential skills and knowledge.

Following the self-defense class, at 5:00 pm, we enjoyed a cultural program filled with performances showcasing the diverse talents of the camp participants. It was a delightful opportunity to celebrate our cultural heritage and artistic expressions.

At 8:30 pm, we gathered for dinner, enjoying a delicious meal together. Following dinner, we engaged in a camp evaluation session, reflecting on our experiences, learnings, and areas for improvement. This evaluation provided valuable insights for enhancing future camp experiences and fostering personal growth among participants.

Thus, the fourth day of our camp was filled with meaningful engagements, empowering sessions, and enriching cultural experiences, further strengthening bonds among participants and leaving us with cherished memories to carry forward.
