COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP - DAY 3

The third day of our camp commenced with a refreshing yoga session at 6:00 am, setting a peaceful tone for the day ahead. Following this, at 7:00 am, all participants gathered for the morning assembly, where we recited pledges, shared thoughts for the day, and received updates on camp news and important instructions.

After the assembly, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast at 8:00 am, preparing us for the day's adventures. At 10:00 am, we embarked on a journey to Karyavattam Chapel via KSRTC bus. There, we participated in the E Times program, aimed at empowering moms and elder women to become digitally aware. We taught them the basics of using phones, how to pay bills online, and other essential digital skills.

By 12:30 pm, we had a satisfying lunch, refueling ourselves for the afternoon ahead. At 2:00 pm, we visited Gandhi Bhavan, where we explored artifacts and exhibits related to Mahatma Gandhi. It was an enlightening experience that provided insight into Gandhiji's life and teachings.

Next, we visited Amma Thottil, where the program named Sparsham was conducted. We learned about the facilities provided by the center for children left by their parents, and also gained understanding about the adoption process. Witnessing Amma Thottil, a place where infants are cared for after being abandoned, was a poignant experience.

Later, we visited Rajaji Nagar to conduct a survey on waste management. We learned about various waste management techniques and measures being implemented in the area, contributing to our understanding of environmental sustainability.

By 5:30 pm, we returned to the college campus and engaged in a craft-making session. We enthusiastically attempted to make kites for an upcoming program, showcasing our creativity and teamwork.

At 8:30 pm, we gathered for dinner, enjoying a delicious meal together. Following dinner, we participated in a camp reflection session, where we shared our thoughts and experiences from the day, fostering personal growth and camaraderie among the participants.

Thus, the third day of our camp was filled with enriching experiences, valuable learnings, and meaningful connections, preparing us for the adventures yet to come.
