Today was the first day of my teaching practice. Had to wait for long time as we did not get a seating arrangement. At last when we got it, it was two stairs up. Climbing the steps was an arduous task, but somehow we managed. It was a big hall upon one side, there was a big hall upon one side there was a class being held. We were seated the other side. As some of the teachers were absent, we were asked to engage some of the classes. I was lucky enough to be in my supposed class itself. 12 out of 19 were present and students actively engaged with us. Arya from social science too came with me. We could create a good rapport with students. After the class we went to the hall, had some chitchat and planned on how to take the class further. As it was the first day, an informal interaction was what I thought to have with the students. I had 7th hour and talked about the importance of English and how its necessary to be exposed to that language. I introduced some new words like Volunteer Exp
“One Earth · One Family · One Future” As part of the G20 celebrations, yet another programme " Rangoli competition" was conducted by MTTC under the guidance of our dear Deepthi ma'm. Inculcating this theme in our rangoli , two members from each optional participated vigorously in this competition. B eautiful designs filled with colors of hope and life were spread all around. The English department is so happy cuz its our team lead by Navya and Lekshmi who bagged the first prize. So happy happy!!!! The second prize was given to Social Science department and the third prize to Natural Science department. The competition was judged by our dear Raghu sir and Rakesh sir from the MEd department. Embarking a new journey, I stepped Mar Theophilus Training College on this day. I was filled with mixed emotions which I felt very hard to put in words. yes its true... where words fail, silence speaks... As I first saw this college, I was held with a kind of silence which was serene and beautiful at the same time. I was sure at the first sight itself that Yes.... this place is going to create wonders in my life and my goals will turn into a reality as I step out of this almamater. I didn't expect to be a part of this great institution but I longed for it. No, I was craving to be a part of it. I always wanted to be a teacher. It was my sister who first saw a teacher in me. Being part of MTTC, was a major step to achieve this. I saw a flower stranded from its home and lying down with no one paying attention it. I took it in my hands and observed closely.
