SOCIAL VISIT

“What most people don’t know is that most Special Education teachers are really angels disguised as extraordinary humans.” – Joe Martin

As a part of the BEd curriculum, we, the students of the first semester of MTTC visited the prominent Special Educational school, Shalom special school, in accordance with a social visit on 27th January 2023. We comprising 50 students visited this institution under the guidance of Mrs. Maya Ma’am, the faculty of MTTC. Along with her guidance, the presence of Dr.Joju Sir and Dr. Ancy Ma’am made our day special.

As per the instruction from the principal, we reached MTTC around 9.30 am. The college had arranged a bus from Sarvodaya Vidyalaya for our travel, which was very helpful for us. Around 10.00 am we started our journey to the school, and we reached there by 10.30 am.

The first thing that captured my attention was its clean and serene environment and the surroundings of the school. Mother sister, principal, and other sisters welcomed us and thanked us for visiting them. As soon as we entered the institute, we could see bright and beautiful eyes awaiting us eagerly.

The students welcomed us wholeheartedly with no hesitation. They showed us the various pouches and chains made by them. They danced and sang with us as if the life they had was faced with no difficulty. Their carefree attitude toward life taught us many things.
As the representative of Emrys, our English association, Arya gave the collected items to the sister for the welfare of the students. Along with that, the contributions from different departments of the college were also pooled.
The visit was indeed fruitful, and I take this opportunity to thank everyone behind this social visit.

NATIONAL SEMINAR CONDUCTED BY SUNRISE UNIVERSITY

"Arise awake and stop not till the goal is reached."
is a slogan popularized in the late 19th century by Indian Hindu monk Swami Vivekananda, who took inspiration in a sloka of Katha Upanishad. It was his message to the world to get out of their hypnotized state of mind.

Sunrise University, Alwar organized a National Conference at Pattom Royal Palace Hotel, Trivandrum on 22 January 2023.  The major theme was " Quality & it's assurance in modern studies: Emerging trends for research in the digital era ”.

The morning session was full of invigorating and exciting talks by professionals, including our motivating star , Dr. Joju john sir and Shirly Stewart ma'm. This was followed by the paper presentation by various research scholars and students of MEd and BEd level.

With adequate motivation from Joju sir, I got an amazing opportunity to present a paper titled "THE ROLE OF ERP SYSTEM IN EDUCATION" .   Four of us enthusiastically participated in the seminar. It was a fruitful session indeed.

FIELD TRIP - SEMESTER 1

Field trips are organized visits of teachers and students to immediate or distant places to reach peak learning experiences and to further instructional purpures of regular classroom activities.
Education is not confined to class room teaching. Life in the classroom can cover only a small part of our total life. The chief purpose of the field is to give students firsthand experience that cannot be had in the classroom.

Field trip is an outdoor lesson in action as many objects and phenomenon can be studied best in their natural setting. They stimulate interest and increase appreciation. It co-relates classroom learning with community. It also develops better social awareness and social skills in pupils.

LIGAMENT INJURY

Today, I would like to share an unfortunate incident that happened yesterday. As I was coming down the stairs dreamingly, I twisted my leg and was in great pain. There was a large lump visible on the ankle. I couldn’t even move my leg and the next day, that is today, I visited the doctor who diagnosed it as a ligament injury. I was greatly disappointed as I can’t attend college at least for 2 weeks.
